Legendary guitarist Tony Iommi has announced the release of his new album, 'From The Dark,' set for a global launch on October 23, 2026.

The album, which marks his continued evolution as a musical force, features a full lineup of collaborators including vocalist Jorn Lande, bassist Becky Baldwin, and drummer Karl Brazil.

Co-produced by Iommi and long-time creative partner Mike Exeter, the record delivers a sonically rich, contemporary take on heavy rock that blends timeless guitar work with bold, dystopian lyrical themes.

The first single from the album, 'World Alone,' premiered globally in a special event held in Birmingham, England—just a stone’s throw from the Black Sabbath Bridge, a civic tribute to the iconic band.

The track features Tony Iommi’s signature riffs and powerful guitar work, backed by Jorn Lande’s dramatic vocal performance.

The song’s video is set in a retrofuturistic, dystopian universe where a protagonist is plunged into a video game to find salvation.

'From The Dark' includes tracks such as 'Over The Violent Sun,' 'Black Times,' 'Beyond The Dead,' 'Stormwatcher,' 'Death Wake,' 'Return Of The Arbalist,' and 'Legacy,' with additional bonus tracks including 'Scent Of Dark' and 'Deified (Extended Version).

The instrumental version of 'World Alone' is included as a B-side on the single, available exclusively through the official release.

The album will be released in multiple deluxe formats, including a double LP in four distinct vinyl colors: double black, double 'Monkey' red & black marble, double 'New Boy' white & black marble, and double 'Eyeglass' transparent blue.

A deluxe CD media book edition with 32-page booklet and two bonus tracks will also be available, along with an Amazon exclusive CD digisleeve with a 12-page booklet.

All vinyl editions feature a die-cut gatefold sleeve with a detailed illustration of Tony Iommi’s signature cross.

Iommi, widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in modern music, is a founding member of Black Sabbath and has earned multiple Grammy Awards, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and an MBE in June 2026.

The new album comes a year after Black Sabbath’s final show at the 2025 'Back To The Beginning' concert in Birmingham, a poignant event that took place just weeks before the passing of bandmate Ozzy Osbourne.
