Legendary BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi will perform a one-night event at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on September 17.

The performance will spotlight his career and the city that launched his musical journey.

Iommi is set to launch his new solo album, "From The Dark", in October 2026.

The event marks a significant cultural moment, as Iommi was recently awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire in June 2026.

He is widely recognized as one of the most influential guitarists in modern music, having co-founded BLACK SABBATH with Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

The band released pioneering albums throughout the 1970s and became a defining force in British music.

Iommi earned a doctorate from Coventry University, received the Lord Mayor's Award, and was granted the Freedom Of The City of Birmingham.

His distinctive guitar tone, developed after a serious industrial accident that lost him the tips of two fingers, became a hallmark of BLACK SABBATH's sound.

In 2023, Iommi collaborated with the Birmingham Royal Ballet on "Black Sabbath - The Ballet", a production based on his early compositions.

BLACK SABBATH headlined "Back To The Beginning" in Birmingham in 2025, a major show revisiting the band's origins and serving as a farewell to fans, just weeks before Ozzy Osbourne's passing.

Iommi has continued to record and perform globally, including a reunion with the original BLACK SABBATH lineup for the 2013 album "13" and the global "The End" farewell tour (2016–2017), which drew 1.6 million fans."
