UFO has confirmed its final farewell tour, set to begin on October 15, 2022, at De Casino in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, and conclude on October 29, 2022, at Fuzz Club in Athens, Greece.

The tour marks the end of the band's five-decade-long journey, following the official announcement by Phil Mogg in August 2022 that he had stepped down from the group after suffering a heart attack.

Mogg, the band's original vocalist, is now 78 years old.

The farewell tour was announced in 2021 as part of a series of exclusive summer concerts to conclude the band's legacy in style.

The final show in Athens featured UFO's first performance with guitarist Vinnie Moore in February 2004.

Paul Raymond, the band's guitarist and keyboardist who contributed to albums including 'Lights Out' and the live classic 'Strangers In The Night', died in April 2019.

The original UFO lineup, which included Mogg, drummer Andy Parker, guitarist Mick Bolton and bassist Pete Way, formed in London in 1969.

The band's global breakthrough came in 1973 with the arrival of Michael Schenker, who joined after leaving SCORPIONS.

Schenker remained with the band through the release of 'Phenomenon' (1974), 'Force It' (1975), and 'No Heavy Pettin' (1976), and contributed to the studio albums 'Lights Out' (1977) and 'Obsession' (1978).

Their 1979 live album 'Strangers In The Night' is regarded as one of the greatest live rock releases of all time.

The band's original lineup reunited in 1993, releasing 'Walk On Water' and embarking on a world tour.

Schenker left the band again during that tour to focus on his work with Michael Schenker Group.

The most recent lineup included original members Mogg and Parker, along with Vinnie Moore and bassist Rob De Luca since 2012.

The final concert in Athens is set to be the band's last performance ever."
