Polish extreme metal band BEHEMOTH has released the eight-song 'I, Scvlptor' EP, a collection of new tunes, outtakes, re-recordings, and live cuts. The EP features the newly recorded title track and 'Lord ov the Horizons,' both exclusive to the release. The opening track showcases a hypnotic, staccato riff with a lead melody coiled around it, demonstrating the band's continued songwriting discipline. 'Lord ov the Horizons' builds from minor-chord melodies and sideways chord mechanics into a powerful climax with drummer Inferno's snare rolls and a blazing guitar solo from Seth.

The EP includes re-recordings of 'Rise of the Blackstorm of Evil' and 'In Thy Pandemaeternum,' which enhance the dynamics and orchestration compared to their original demo and full-length recordings. The track 'Begotten,' a reworked version of a leftover from 'The Shit ov God,' stands out as a barreling true black metal assault, highlighted by Nergal's distinctive and diabolical vocals.
The EP also features a cover of VENOM's 'In League With Satan' with guest vocals from DIMMU BORGIR's Shagrath, who participated in tribute shows for VENOM's 45th-anniversary 'Welcome to Hell' release. The collection concludes with a live version of BATHORY's 'The Return of Darkness and Evil' and a rough mix of 'Lord ov the Horizons'.
BEHEMOTH has maintained a consistent release schedule, and with the touring cycle for 'The Shit ov God' concluded, 'I, Scvl_ or' serves as a worthwhile stopgap release for fans awaiting the band's next official project.
