Finland's progressive metal band End Of Abyss has confirmed the release of its debut album, Escape To A New Empire, on October 23 via Inverse Records. The band originated in Jyväskylä in the early 2000s as a one-man project led by Petrus Syvänperä. The project evolved through years of self-produced demos and studio development before settling on a full lineup. Guitarist Alpo Pöytäkangas joined during the 2024 production phase and contributed to songwriting. Bassist Janne Koskenkorva joined shortly thereafter, bringing experience from bands such as Baulta and Portrait of Beyond.

Vocalist Mikko Herranen, known for his work across multiple Finnish metal acts and as a producer, joined the band and significantly shaped the album's symphonic and melodic direction. The debut album marks a major evolution in the band's sound and will be available for pre-order as a physical CD and digitally through Inverse Records' online store and Bandcamp.

The full album will be released on October 23, with the single "Sound Of Soul" available for streaming on music platforms including Push FM. The track is described as having strong radio-friendly elements with a powerful chorus, reflecting the band's ambition to reach broader audiences through mainstream rock channels.
