Norwegian experimental death metal band EXTOL has officially announced its return with the release of its sixth full-length album, "Aura Of Decay", on November 6 via Solid State Records. The album marks the band's first release since its 2013 self-titled record and features the classic lineup, including guitarist Christer Espevoll, who has rejoined the band.

The album was crafted over an extended creative period and recorded across Hawk Studios, Little Cave Studio, and Hrada Creative. It was mixed and mastered by renowned engineer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios. The album artwork was created by artist Hugh Syme.

Musically, EXTOL continues its tradition of pushing boundaries with complex arrangements and a distinct sonic identity. The new record contains echoes of the black metal-tinged atmospheres from its seminal album Burial. The band has also unveiled a new single, "The One And The Many", which is now streaming worldwide.

"The One And The Many" explores modern tribalism and postmodern ideology through a philosophical lens, using erratic structures and lyrical ambiguity to mirror the confusion of today's global divisions. The track is set to challenge listeners to examine the ideological underpinnings of contemporary religious and political movements.

EXTOL, formed in 1993 in Bekkestua, Norway, is known for blending technical death metal with spiritual and philosophical themes. The band has remained a prominent force in the metal underground, with this new album signaling a significant return to activity.
