Paradise Lost has shared a pro-shot video of their Summer Breeze 2026 live performance of "Silence Like The Grave" from their latest album, Ascension. The 17th studio album, released in September 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records, marks the band's first release in five years since 2020's Obsidian. Produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory, Ascension features artwork based on George Frederic Watts' painting The Court of Death (1870-1902).

The album includes tracks such as "Tyrants Serenade," "Serpent On The Cross," and "Lay A Wreath Upon The World," with the latter serving as a harbinger of humanity's self-destruction. A lyric video for "Lay A Wreath Upon The World" has also been released. The band's latest record continues its legacy of melancholic doom and gothic metal, reflecting their enduring presence in the genre after 35 years.
