German melodic heavy metal band The Night Eternal has released their latest single, 'The Veins Of Time,' which serves as the third single from their debut album Cold Velvet.

The album is set for release on August 21 via Metal Blade Records.

The track opens the B-side of Cold Velvet and features a post-punk-infused goth intro that builds into a melancholic, dreamlike atmosphere with heavy rock elements.

The song concludes with a dramatic interplay between lead vocals by Ricardo Baum and a guitar solo by Rob Richter.

Cold Velvet was recorded between May and December 2025 at Church Of Sound Studios in Munich, Germany.

Production, recording, and mixing were handled by Michael Zech, a producer known for his work with Sulphur Aeon, Triptykon, and The Ruins Of Beverast.

Zech described the collaboration as a deep musical and emotional connection, with a shift toward an '80s-inspired classic heavy metal sound.

The album will be released in multiple formats including CD-digipak and vinyl, with limited editions available in various color variants across Europe and the United States.

The release includes special packaging such as 7" vinyl, slipmats, and velvet bags.

In support of the album, The Night Eternal will perform at a series of shows beginning August 20 in Kassel, Germany, and continuing through November in Europe.

The tour includes stops at Goldgrube, Bambi Galore, Nord Sommerfest, Drums of War Festival in Barcelona, and venues across France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

The tour will conclude in Italy with a show in Trezzo sull’Adda on September 21."
