Brent Fitz, renowned drummer who has performed with Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Slash, and TRIUMPH, has been honored with the naming of a street in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The section of Bellavista Crescent in the Crestview neighborhood is officially designated as Brent Fitz Way.
The street-naming ceremony will take place on Friday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m.
The event will feature Fitz’s parents and sister, who is a musician currently playing with THE COMMODORES in Malaysia.
Fitz began his musical journey in Winnipeg, where he participated in school music programs and studied music theory at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
He moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s and joined the band UNION with ex-KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick and future MĂ–TLEY CRĂśE vocalist John Corabi.
The recognition reflects Fitz’s long-standing connection to his hometown and his role as a cultural ambassador for Winnipeg.
The city has acknowledged his contributions to music, with officials noting his impact on both the local music scene and international performances over the past three decades."
