With their new single, “Echoes In The After,” UK black metal legends Winterfylleth have unveiled the second offering from their forthcoming album, The Unyielding Season.

Out March 27 via Napalm Records, The Unyielding Season is a social commentary wrapped in meticulously crafted poetry and prose.

While the preceding album, The Imperious Horizon (2024), described an ominous, malevolent force lurking in the distance, The Unyielding Season explores that threat becoming a reality.

Chris Naughton comments on “Echoes In The After”: “The lyric for this song was written in reaction to the felling of the famous ‘Robin Hood’ tree at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall in the North East of the UK.

The song reflects on how some people seem to loathe iconic symbols of history and cultural importance that local communities share in and hold dear.”
