German symphonic metallers XANDRIA are set to release their new studio album, 'Eclipse', on August 7 via Napalm Records.
The band has also unveiled the official music video for the LP's second single, “Colours”, which showcases the song's cinematic orchestral arrangements and modern metal riffing.
“Colours” is a highlight in XANDRIA's 30-year-spanning career, featuring a large classical choir and showcasing vocalist Ambre Vourvahis' impressive vocal range.
XANDRIA mastermind Marco Heubaum comments on the new album: “This is the second song from our upcoming album that we are proud to share with you.
Together with the first single, 'The Shannon's Home', it offers another glimpse into the many different colours of the album — a journey full of discoveries, unexpected turns, and quite a few surprises.” 'Eclipse' features eleven tracks representing XANDRIA's most diverse body of work to date.
The album marks XANDRIA's most outspoken and cinematic statement so far, dealing with timely themes such as reason, empathy, and democracy in the face of adversity.
The tracklist for 'Eclipse' includes “Syzygy”, “Wave Of Tanis”, “Northstar”, and “Lore”, among others.
XANDRIA welcomes special guests SUBWAY TO SALLY's violinist Ally Storch on the track 'Lore', while longtime friend McAlbi is featured on four songs with his Celtic tin and low whistles.
The band has also collaborated with film score composers Lukas Geppert and Ishaan Tyagi, who have worked on various Hollywood productions.
The new album marks XANDRIA's most confident and cinematic statement to date, blending classical orchestral arrangements with modern metal riffing and introspective lyrics that tackle timely themes.
