German symphonic metal band Xandria has announced the release of their new album Eclipse, set for release on Friday, August 7, 2026, via Napalm Records.

The album marks the band’s most diverse and outspoken work to date, featuring eleven tracks that blend classic '80s-inspired metal riffs with modern heavy guitar tones, cinematic orchestral arrangements, Celtic folk elements, and dark electronic textures.

The record includes a guitar solo inspired by Pink Floyd and explores themes of civilisation, democracy, and empathy in contemporary times.

The title track "Eclipse" has been released as the final single, accompanied by an official music video.

The song features vocalist Ambre Vourvahis performing a wide range of vocal styles, including rock vocals, operatic singing, and growls, in a single performance.

The track draws a narrative comparison between the eclipse and societal darkness, asserting a refusal to accept political and cultural decline.

Eclipse is the follow-up to Xandria’s 2023 album The Wonders Still Awaiting, which marked a new era with a refreshed lineup.

This release features guest appearances by Subway To Sally’s violinist Ally Storch on "Lore", and McAlbi on four tracks using Celtic tin and low whistles.

The song "The Last Generation" includes a children’s choir and piano performed by Hollywood pianist Richard Z.

Wang.

The album was orchestrated by film score composers Lukas Geppert and Ishaan Tyagi, both of whom have worked on major film productions.

The band will perform at the M’era Luna Festival this Saturday on the main stage to celebrate the album’s release.

Following this, Xandria will launch an extensive European tour beginning in September 2026.
