UK thrash legends Xentrix have released their new single 'Allied With The Enemy,' which will also serve as the title track for their upcoming album.

The band revealed that the track was originally the final song recorded for the album, but later became the centerpiece for the release, with a thematic focus on self-betrayal and disinformation, drawing subtle inspiration from the 'Alien' film series.

Musically, the track blends heavy metal and thrash metal elements, featuring sharp guitar riffs and double bass-driven drums.

The full album, 'Allied With The Enemy,' is set for worldwide release in 2026 via Listenable Records.

Recorded from late 2025 into 2026 at Backstage Studios in England, the record was produced by Andy Sneap, known for his precision and power, and features artwork by UK artist Dan Goldsworthy.

The ten-track album includes songs such as 'Rip Saw,' 'Killer Unknown,' 'On Burned Remains,' 'Doomsday Hook,' 'The Dark Eternal,' 'Where The Madness Lies,' 'Snake In Waiting,' 'No Bridges Left To Burn,' and 'We Drink The Same Poison,' with the latter as a bonus track.

Xentrix will tour the UK in November 2024, sharing the stage with Nervosa.

The band's lineup remains unchanged: Jay Walsh on vocals and guitar, Kristian Havard on guitar, Chris Shires on bass, and Dennis Gasser on drums.

The album marks Xentrix's most uncompromising statement to date, following the critical success of 2022’s 'Seven Words.' It delivers a heavier, darker, and sharper sound, pushing thrash metal back into its roots with purposeful lyrics on themes of social collapse, blind popularity, and personal bias.
