Hellenic black metal quartet Yoth Iria have announced their third record Gone With The Devil, set for worldwide release on May 8 via Metal Blade Records.
This latest offering follows the band's meteoric rise from their crafty debut As The Flame Withers in 2021 and the hypnotic follow-up Blazing Inferno in 2024.
Yoth Iria intentionally expanded their sound on Gone With The Devil, blending elements of psychedelia, classic heavy metal and Mediterranean folk to create a unique sonic experience.
Fronted by bassist and lyricist Jim Mutilator, the band has stated that they kept the immediacy of Blazing Inferno, while adding fresh sounds and atmospheres never before heard from Yoth Iria.
Gone With The Devil opens with the album's immediate signal "Dare To Rebel", fusing windswept intros, rock-steady rhythms, dueling guitar harmonies and jubilant solos that nod to classic heavy metal.
Predominantly stately tempos allow dark riffs, flamboyant leads and memorable melodies to breathe, making the occasional blastbeats hit even harder.
Key tracks include "The Blind Eye Of Antichrist", which reflects on personal transformation and universal shift, as well as Mediterranean folk flourishes and gothic cadences that add depth to the record.
With Gone With The Devil, Yoth Iria continues to channel the occult atmospheres and apocalyptic gravitas of classic Hellenic black metal while forging new territory.
