American rock band Zebra, formed in 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana, has confirmed the creation of a new full-length studio album to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary. The album marks the follow-up to their 2003 release Zebra IV and follows a decade-long studio effort initiated in early 2025. The project is being produced by legendary producer Jack Douglas, who also helmed Zebra’s first two albums and played a pivotal role in the band’s early success.

Zebra’s self-titled debut, released in 1983, was the fastest-selling debut album in Atlantic Records history and sold 75,000 copies in its first week, achieving Gold certification. The band’s iconic lineup includes Randy Jackson, Guy Gelso, and Felix Hanemann. Since then, they have released No Tellin’ Lies (1984), 3.V (1986), and Zebra IV (2003).

The new album will feature original material and will be released as part of Zebra’s ongoing legacy of live performances. The band has performed together annually for the past 50 years, maintaining its original lineup and continuing to tour with its core members.
