Zebra has officially announced its upcoming studio album, Zebra 5, set for release with a new single titled "Walk With You." The track was co-written by Randy Jackson and Paul Stanley, drawing from material originally developed during Jackson's work on the China Rain album. The collaboration took place in 1990 at Stanley's residence in Manhattan, with the song emerging from a two-hour session and later refined for the new album.

Zebra 5 incorporates elements of its earlier work, particularly the energetic and hook-driven style of Zebra 3, while leaning into a heavier sonic direction. The album features a song inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem "Ulalume," which Jackson describes as a strictly romantic composition. The challenge of interpreting Poe's complex language and sentence structure influenced the songwriting process, with Jackson emphasizing the need to locate a clear chorus and musical hook.

In addition to the new material, the band has revealed that Zebra 5 will include a few tracks based on Poe's works, with "The Conqueror Worm" and "Ulalume" among them. Jackson confirmed that the album maintains a diverse yet cohesive sound, balancing heavy riffs with memorable choruses.

Jackson also recalled his 1980s audition for KISS following Ace Frehley's departure. He was flown to California, where he performed solo on a small amp and was not offered a position, though he described the experience as flattering and informative.
